JPEG and GIF

JPEG makes better performance for pictures that are smooth with a lot of colors of realistic scene.

GIF is suitable for the images with only a few distinct colors such as drawing pictures, cartoons, and some screen shots

The 3 GIF pictures are in different compressed quality. The first image is saved in 32-bit color. It makes no smooth image and lost some colors in each pixels. The image saved in 64-bit color more smoothness and has more colors in each pixel. The size of the second picture also increased. For the last picture, it has more colors to represent. It looks more smoothness and the size is largest among 3 pictures. In summary, the quality will be better and the size will be larger if we represent more bits of color in each pixel.

This is 3 pictures saved in file JPEG format. The first picture is saved in low quality and has size 41.2 KB. The image has many artifacts. It is not smooth at all. It looks lost many bits of color to represent. The second one is in medium quality and has size 51.2 KB. The image is more smoothness with less artifacts. Each pixel is represent with more number of bit-color. The last picture is best among 3 pictures with the its size 61.8. It looks smooth nearly to the original but different a little bit in some areas of face and shadow. The quality will be better and the size will be increased.

I apply filter gallery in Adobe Photoshop to make some special effects. I added glass filter except the head area. I increased the brightness and contrast to the image later. Ater that I changed color balance by increasing Cyan and Magenta mode and decreasing Yellow mode.
